It is important not to block the driveway or the area in front of it.

In general, street parking is plentiful in this area, especially during the workweek.

You may also park on Crombie Street, including in front of the house, if there is availability. However, please make sure not to park in front of the fire hydrant across the street or block any neighboring driveways.

THERMOSTAT

The heating and air conditioning are set on a program to remain relatively comfortable in most climate conditions. However, we understand in the case of extreme heat & humidity, or freezing cold conditions you can override the system to provide you maximum personal comfort.

Important to note that the Heat and AC work on 2 different systems. The Heat is baseboard and is controlled by the thermostat on the wall. This will not work at all to control the AC.

Air Conditioning

The AC is controlled by the remote controls with the corresponding zone match.

The AC is the wall mini-split system and there are 5 total units. One on the first floor and one in each bedroom. Each remote is labeled and coordinates with a specific corresponding unit.

The program is set and will turn on to cool down the house to a specific temperature around 70 degrees (+/- 3).

For greater control of your personal comfort, you may adjust the AC. If you do so, please use the corresponding remote labeled with the unit number.

Important to note that the remote sensors are the small white devices, with the sensors on the wall, with a wire coming out, plugged in, and facing opposite the mini-split wall unit, or close by, underneath. This is the AC’s remote monitoring and control sensor. This allows us the potential to resolve any issues remotely to minimize interruption of your stay.

If there is any issue with the AC please do not hesitate to reach out to us immediately.

Heating

When the weather changes around September-October the heat will be set to remain comfortable for most. However, the system can be manually controlled to accommodate.

Please note that to adjust the heat, use the up/down arrows only.

Never set the temperature to “hold” and the fan should always stay on “auto”.

Please stay within an acceptable range (65-75 degrees).

Note- turning up the thermostat to 90 will not get it hotter quicker. It could however cause some damage by overworking the system. Even if it is very cold outside, our walls are well insulated. If there are any issues with the heat, please do not hesitate to call immediately and we will resolve any issues.

The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, plates, eating and cooking utensils, salt & pepper, olive oil, and paper goods.

We DO NOT allow cooking with strong aromatic foods such as curry or fish fry, as our guest turnover doesn’t allow time to properly remove the smell.

We do not have designated area for this type of cooking on-premises. Guests who violate this rule will be subject to an additional cleaning fee of $250 or more.

We trust our guests will treat our home with respect and care. Please understand our rules are set in place to ensure future guest satisfaction and a seamless transition between reservations.

Trash pickup with every Friday morning. Trash is to be placed in the designated trash area. Please be sure to place all bags securely tightened, in the cans, and the lids securely closed at all times.
