Curling – U5 World Championships
Pittsburgh Curling Club 91 McCoy Rd, McKees Rocks, PA 15136,The “5-and-Under” curling format, a popular initiative in the U.S., is expanding globally with the launch of the inaugural World Five-and-Under (5&U) Curling Championship. Co-founded by James-Grant Robertson (Chicago Curling Club) and Matt Apesos (Peachtree Curling Club, Georgia), this international event will debut in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from January 9-12, 2025.
Teams from the United States, Canada, Japan, India, Israel, and the Philippines are set to compete, with support from organizations like USA Curling, Curling Canada, Quebec Curling, the Japan Curling Association, and Hot Shots Curling. This championship aims to foster the growth of adult curling globally and showcase emerging talent.
