Wifi Network name: Welcome Guests

In general, there is plenty of street parking available in this area. You are welcome to park on 57th Street, including in front of the house, if a space is available.

Please be careful not to park in front of the neighboring car dealership situated to the left of the house. Parking along the right side of the house in the restricted parking area of the alley may result in a ticket. Street parking is free and does not require a permit.

Note: We encourage parking directly in front of the property when a space is available.

We have keyless entry, and the door codes will be sent securely via email. We utilize an electronic keypad for the main front entry door of the home, plus an additional electronic keypad for access to your suites.

Upon arrival: Enter the access code (provided in email) and manually turn the deadbolt counterclockwise to unlock. Once inside the front door, your suites are located to your immediate right (level one) & at the top of the steps (second level).

EXTERIOR DOOR:

There is a visible rectangular square logo on the keypad.  Press that to light up the numeric keys

Enter the front door code that was emailed to you, followed by the “#” button.

Then turn the key bolt under the keypad counterclockwise to unlock

Gently push down the lever to open the door

Once inside, close the door and turn the deadbolt counterclockwise to close and secure it shut.

Please note that in extreme weather, you may have to gently push or pull the door to make sure the deadbolt is lining up correctly with the strike plate.

INTERIOR APARTMENT ENTRY DOOR LOCKS:

The door lock is a numeric keypad entry and works as follows:

Enter your unique id code for the first floor and then press the pound (#) button.
Listen for the lock mechanism to finish opening
. Turn the knob to enter the apartment
. Note: The lock will automatically lock once the door is closed from the inside. If you are having an issue with the door locking on the inside, you would likely need to flip the latch a quarter turn from the side.

—–
Note: If you are renting the entire duplex and don’t feel like unlocking the apartment doors…

Simply leave the interior apartment doors unlocked by turning the latch mechanism near the inside knob, and use the exterior lock for security.

To ensure the safety of our guests, we have installed a doorbell camera located at the front door.

Front Door Locking Instructions:
To lock the door from the outside
1. Wave your hand over the keypad until it lights up.
2. Press the # key twice (2x), holding the # key down on the second press.
3. If the door doesn’t lock right away, gently pull or push the door to ensure it is properly aligned with the strike plate.
4. Repeat the steps above until the door locks.

For the first floor, the thermostat is on the hallway wall right-hand side.

While we strive to maintain a comfortable setting at all times to match the season of the year, we understand that everybody’s comfort level is different. Use the up and down arrows to adjust accordingly.

Please keep the fan setting on “auto” and never keep the setting to “hold”. Keep in mind that the furnace or AC will operate most efficiently with a steady increase or decrease in the temperature. A general year-round range between 67- 73 should be more than suitable for most people’s needs.

Turning the thermostat up to 80 and then turning it off when it gets there, will not warm the rooms up any faster, and will only overwork the system. Keep in mind that the place was renovated in 2018 and had a brand new mechanical system and all exterior walls installed.

If there are any issues with the heating or AC, please notify us right away and we will get it resolved immediately. The only time we anticipate a slight issue is twice a year during weather breaks. We do routine maintenance every year on the system and sometimes the weather may break before the service, so please inform us right away if something is not working.

The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, plates, eating and cooking utensils, salt & pepper, olive oil, and paper goods.

We DO NOT allow cooking with strong aromatic foods such as curry or fish fry, as our guest turnover doesn’t allow time to properly remove the smell.

We do not have designated area for this type of cooking on-premises. Guests who violate this rule will be subject to an additional cleaning fee of $250 or more.

We trust our guests will treat our home with respect and care. Please understand our rules are set in place to ensure future guest satisfaction and a seamless transition between reservations.

Please note the location of the lint trap in the dryer.

To clean it, pull it out and open it as shown.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call!

Pick-up is on Thursday mornings.

Trash is to be placed in the designated trash area on the Donson Way side of the property. Please be sure to place all bags securely tightened, in the cans, and the lids securely closed at all times.

If the cans are full please place in a heavy-duty contractor’s bag securely tightened, next to the designated garbage shed.

The bags are located under the kitchen sink.
