When a production comes to Pittsburgh, housing is one of the first logistics to solve — and one of the trickiest. Cast and crew need somewhere to live for weeks or months, often a lot of people at once, on a schedule that shifts. Hotels get expensive and impersonal fast. Furnished homes are the better answer, and coordinating them is what we do.
Rivers & Steel City Homes houses cast and crew across the city: full homes with a kitchen, in-home laundry, fast Wi-Fi and workspace, parking, and utilities included. Need several units close together for a crew? We coordinate multiple homes in one area. Need discretion for high-profile talent? Standard.
The terms fit a production: flexible 30+ day and monthly bookings, and 30+ night stays skip Pittsburgh’s roughly 14% lodging tax — a real saving across a large housing line. Pennsylvania’s film tax credit keeps drawing productions here; we make the housing side simple.
We work directly with your production team, confirm every detail, and scale up or down as the schedule changes. Because we source to match, the more lead time you give us on dates, headcount, and locations, the tighter we can dial it in.
Tell us your dates and we will match or source your home — reach out here, or browse current stays. See the full guide: Film & TV Productions → · Part of Extended Stays.
