Pittsburgh punches well above its weight when it comes to live music. On any given week you can catch an arena headliner downtown, a summer night under the stars at the amphitheater, an intimate riverfront show, or the symphony in one of the country’s great concert halls.
The Venues
PPG Paints Arena hosts the biggest touring names downtown. The Pavilion at Star Lake is the classic summer amphitheater just outside the city. Stage AE brings indoor and outdoor shows to the North Shore, steps from the stadiums. Heinz Hall is home to the acclaimed Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. And every so often, a stadium show lands at PNC Park or Acrisure Stadium with the skyline as a backdrop.
