Rush plays PPG Paints Arena on Sunday, November 15, 2026, with a 7:30 PM start listed at ppgpaintsarena.com. Pittsburgh was one of four U.S. dates the band added to its Fifty Something reunion tour, with Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson joined by drummer Anika Nilles. It is the band’s first show here since 2012, and their Pittsburgh history goes back to the Civic Arena in 1974. The arena sits at 1001 Fifth Avenue in the Lower Hill, a short walk from Downtown. Check the arena’s site for ticket and door details before you travel.
A Sunday show is a whole-weekend show. Plenty of fans waited a decade for this one, and a lot of them are driving in from Ohio, West Virginia, New York and the rest of Pennsylvania. The easy version of the trip: arrive Friday, take Saturday for the city, see the show Sunday night, and drive home Monday morning instead of at midnight.
Why a home beats a hotel for a concert trip
Rush fans tend to travel in groups: old friends, brothers, parents bringing the kids who grew up on the records. A full home gives everyone a real bedroom, a living room for the pre-show playlist, and a kitchen for the post-show recap that runs past 1 AM. One house keeps the group together and the cost per person down, and parking at the house means you can rideshare to the arena and skip the garage line after the encore.
Make a weekend of it
This is one of the busiest weekends of the fall. On Friday, Nov. 13, Pitt hosts Florida State at Acrisure Stadium, and the Three Rivers Film Festival runs through Nov. 15, so Saturday can be a matinee and a long dinner. Kennywood Holiday Lights opens Nov. 13 too. Our Things to Do in Pittsburgh guide and Pittsburgh food guide cover the rest.
Where to stay. Rivers & Steel City Homes offers full homes across the Pittsburgh metropolitan area — parking, a kitchen, and room for everyone who came in. 2,700+ guests since 2018; book direct and save 5–15% over Airbnb and VRBO. Find your dates at riversandsteel.com/search.
