Pitt vs. Bucknell (Sept. 26): Where to Stay for Game Day

Pitt hosts Bucknell at Acrisure Stadium on Saturday, September 26, 2026. It is a local-draw Saturday, which makes it one of the easier home games to plan around — and one of the best weekends of the fall to bring family in, because the city is wide awake around it.

Heads up: this is a double-header weekend. Pitt plays Saturday and the Steelers host the Bengals on Sunday, with the international robotics conference at the convention center starting the same weekend. Two stadium days back to back in one trip is a real option here — but rooms across the North Shore and Downtown tighten up fast for that stretch, so book the house early.

Why a home beats a hotel for game day. Tailgate space, a grill, a kitchen for breakfast before an early bus, parking, and room for the whole group — then one house to come back to after the game. Get in Friday, hit the Strip District Saturday morning, and use our Pittsburgh food guide for dinner. More in Things to Do in Pittsburgh.

A note for groups driving in. Our Greeves house sits on the North Side, within walking distance of Acrisure Stadium — and it still has free on-site parking. On a rivalry weekend that combination is the whole trick: park once when you arrive, walk to the game, and walk home afterward while the lots are still crawling. Three bedrooms that each have their own private ensuite bathroom, beds for eight, and a private back deck with a BBQ grill for the pre-game. See Greeves for photos and dates.
