Steelers vs. Bengals (Sept. 27): Where to Stay for the AFC North Rivalry

The Steelers host the Cincinnati Bengals at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday, September 27, 2026. AFC North games travel — Cincinnati is a straight shot up the interstate, and Bengals fans fill the North Shore for it. Expect one of the loudest home crowds of the early season and one of the busiest travel weekends of the fall.

This is a stacked weekend. Pitt hosts Bucknell on Saturday and the IROS robotics conference opens Downtown the same weekend, drawing several thousand international attendees on four- and five-night stays. Translation: whichever side you are travelling in for, book well ahead. This is not a weekend that stays available.

Why a home beats a hotel for Steelers Sunday. Real tailgate space, a kitchen and grill, parking, and room for the whole group that came in — then one house to come back to instead of a hotel parking lot. Come in Saturday, do the Strip District for black-and-gold and game-day food, and use our Pittsburgh food guide for dinner. See Things to Do in Pittsburgh for the rest of the weekend.

A note for groups driving in. Our Greeves house sits on the North Side, within walking distance of Acrisure Stadium — and it still has free on-site parking. On a rivalry weekend that combination is the whole trick: park once when you arrive, walk to the game, and walk home afterward while the lots are still crawling. Three bedrooms that each have their own private ensuite bathroom, beds for eight, and a private back deck with a BBQ grill for the pre-game. See Greeves for photos and dates.

Where to stay. Rivers & Steel City Homes offers full homes across the Pittsburgh metropolitan area — parking, a kitchen, and room for everyone who travelled in. 2,700+ guests since 2018; book direct and save 5–15% over Airbnb and VRBO. Lock in your dates at riversandsteel.com/search.
