Pentatonix on Light Up Night (Nov. 21): A Downtown Pittsburgh Holiday Double

Pentatonix plays PPG Paints Arena on Saturday, November 21, 2026, with a 7:00 PM start listed at ppgpaintsarena.com. That is the same day as Highmark Light Up Night, when Downtown Pittsburgh switches on its holiday lights. The arena is at 1001 Fifth Avenue, about a 15-minute walk from the Cultural District. Check the arena’s site for ticket and door details before you go.

Plan for crowds and give yourself time. Light Up Night is one of the biggest nights Downtown sees all year, and an arena show on top of it means busy streets, full garages and slow rideshares. Spend the afternoon and early evening Downtown, then head up the hill to the arena with time to spare. Coming back to a house you have already settled into beats hunting for a late-night parking spot.

Why a home beats a hotel for a holiday weekend

A Pentatonix crowd is often a family crowd: parents, grandparents and kids, or a group of friends kicking off the season together. A full home gives everyone their own bedroom, a living room for hot chocolate after the show, and a kitchen so Sunday breakfast doesn’t mean another line. One house keeps the whole group under one roof and the cost per person down.

Make a weekend of it

Stay through Sunday and the season is already in full swing: the rink at PPG Place, the Downtown holiday market and lights, and Kennywood Holiday Lights after dark. Our Christmas in Pittsburgh guide, Things to Do in Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh food guide have the rest.
